The Guyana Police Force has announced that portions of High Street, Barracks Street, Young Street, Camp Street, Battery Road, and Seawall Road will be closed to vehicular traffic to facilitate Nomination Day on Friday, January 10, 2020. Large crowds are expected in the area. These locations include roads next to the U.S. Embassy located at 100 Young and Duke Streets, Kingston.
For this reason, the U.S. Embassy will close temporarily on Friday afternoon, January 10, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. to the end of the business day.
