The State Department is rising to meet the historic challenge posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, every day, all over the world. The U.S. Government has no higher duty than to protect American citizens. The U.S. Embassy in Guyana requested special permission from the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority for a commercial flight offered by Eastern Airlines to depart from Georgetown to Miami for those travelers who wish to depart Guyana.
The airline will take bookings and payments directly on their website in the next few hours. First come, first serve basis. EAL Flight #010 is scheduled to depart Georgetown on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 1630.
The Embassy will post updated information through this travel alert system and on our Facebook page if we have further updates regarding this flight. You can reach us at the email box guyanaevac@state.gov to request assistance.
Sincerely,
American Citizen Services
