The U.S. Embassy in Guyana requests any U.S. citizen interested in departing Guyana to travel to the United States to complete this online form (copy hyperlink and open in Chrome browser). If you are part of a group, please fill out a separate form for each individual traveler.
The U.S. Embassy in Guyana is working with Eastern Airlines on a humanitarian flight for U.S. citizens who wish to depart Georgetown to Miami this mid-week. An exact date/time will be confirmed, once special authorization is granted by the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority. We strongly encourage any U.S. citizen wishing to depart Guyana to utilize this option.
The Embassy will post updated information through this travel alert system and on the U.S. Embassy Facebook page, as soon as we have further information. Once the flight is approved, Eastern airlines will open reservations on their website for direct booking on a first come, first serve basis. Anyone with a U.S. passport, legal permanent residency, or in possession of an immigrant visa can purchase tickets for this flight.
If you encounter issues completing the online form (listed above), you can also send an email to guyanaevac@state.gov with the subject line “Return Travel to the United States.” If emailing, please include the following information for each U.S. citizen or U.S. legal permanent resident guardian accompanying minor children in your family or group.
You can reach us at the email box: acsgeorge@state.gov to request assistance with emergency passports or at guyanaevac@state.gov if you have special concerns with repatriation.
