The U.S. Embassy in Guyana has received approval to operate a commercial relief flight for U.S. citizens who wish to depart Georgetown to Miami, TODAY Wednesday April 1, 2020 at 15:30 via Cheddi Jagan International Airport.
The Guyana Civil Aviation Authority has extended the airport closure for regularly scheduled commercial flights until May 1..We strongly encourage any U.S. citizen wishing to depart Guyana to utilize today’s relief flight or prepare to shelter in place until regular commercial flights resume.
Eastern airlines will open reservations on their website for direct booking on a first come, first serve basis. Anyone with a U.S. passport, legal permanent residency, or in possession of an immigrant visa can purchase tickets for this flight. If there are any changes, the U.S. Embassy
