The U.S. Embassy is pleased to announce the opening of the application period for the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) Professional Fellows Program. YLAI applications are now being accepted at https://ylai.state.gov.
Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, YLAI will this year bring 250 young entrepreneurs from the Caribbean and Latin America to the United States for business and social entrepreneurship training. Entrepreneurs between the ages of 25 and 35 are encouraged to apply. You must have at least two years of experience as an entrepreneur in your own business or social venture, and be a resident and citizen of Guyana (or one of the eligible countries in the Caribbean or Latin America).
The Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) empowers entrepreneurs to strengthen their capacity to launch and advance their entrepreneurial ideas and effectively contribute to social and economic development in their communities. To date, eight young Guyanese entrepreneurs have participated in the YLAI Professional Fellows Program.
